Fact Sheet: Lok Sabha 2014 Goa

 

 

The 16th Lok Sabha elections would be held in the two Parliamentary Constituencies of Goa on April 12, 2014. Polling will be held at 1,622 polling stations spread across 1,152 polling station locations. Out of the state’s total of 10,57,499 electors as on 2ndJanuary 2014, 12.11% are in the age group 18-25 while women constitute 50%. The poll expenditure limit per candidate for all constituencies in the state is Rs. 54 lakhs.

Top 3 Goans candidates with declared serious cases with multiple IPC charges

Indian Penal Code (IPC) counts:  3 candidates with declared serious cases have multiple counts of serious IPC charges. Out of 19 candidates, 3 candidates have declared serious criminal cases relating to wrongful confinement, criminal intimidation, voluntarily causing hurt by weapons, etc. And here are the top three.

Leading from the top is Dayanand G. Narvekar, an Independent candidate from North Goa constituency has declared 4 counts of serious IPC charges.
